John "Ozzie" Falk, Sr. died Saturday, August 04, 2007, at his home in the care of his family and Le Royer Hospice. He was 77 years old. Born February 15, 1930 in Rice Lake, he is the son of the late Clarence and Ethel (Stahl) Falk. On August 12, 1950 he and the former Carol Gallenberg were married at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. She survives.

He attended Spooner Grade School and Antigo High School. He served as a Corporal in the United States Army in Germany and Korea.
In Antigo he was employed by Antigo Electric & Gas for 5 years. He managed the Clark Gas Station, the Speedway Gas Station, and was employed at Kraft. For 16 years he and his wife owned and operated Falk's Shorewood Resort at Pelican Lake. He also was a crossing guard for the Antigo Unified School District. He was a J.C. member, coached Antigo Little League Baseball and enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing and was an avid Antigo High School sports fan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 10 am at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. Rev. Jeremiah Worman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:30 pm to 8pm Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30am to 9:30 am at Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4pm Tuesday. A memorial has been established to LeRoyer Hospice. Antigo veterans will conduct Military Honors at Queen of Peace Cemetery. On line condolence may be made at www.bradleyfh.com
